HCA Florida Englewood Hospital is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist on a PRN basis to develop and administer medically prescribed therapy programs for patients with speech, language, cognitive, and oral motor disorders. You will evaluate patients, establish treatment goals, and educate patients and families.

The role requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, Florida licensure, and CCC. BLS is also required, with preferred healthcare experience.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• State of Florida Speech-Language Pathologist licensure required.
• Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) awarded by ASHA.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience in appropriate healthcare setting preferred.

Aufgaben

• Evaluate the patient’s condition, obtain case history, and administer diagnostic tests to determine nature and degree of speech and language problem.
• Establish, implement, and modify treatment plans, in accordance with hospital/department policies and procedures.
• Determine when patient progress and goals have been met or medical necessity no longer warrants intervention.
• Establish provisions for continuing services and make referrals to other professionals regarding patient care as necessary.
