Bon Secours in Petersburg, VA is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a PRN Days assignment at Southside Medical Center. The role requires assessing and treating speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across age groups.

Responsibilities include evaluations, treatment planning, patient education, and collaboration with the care team. Licensing in-state is required, CCC-SLP preferred within one year, and BLS is required within 30 days for some facilities.

Formación

• Licensed as an SLP in the state of practice is required.
• CCC-SLP is preferred at hire and required within one year.
• BLS is preferred upon hire and required within 30 days for BSMH, or on hire for RSFH.

Responsabilidades

• Assess referrals, patient conditions, and medical histories to determine therapy needs.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop discharge plans based on assessments.
• Administer prescribed speech language pathology treatments tailored to each patient.
• Design rehabilitative programs addressing language, swallowing, cognition, and communication.
• Educate patients and families on home continuation of therapy.
• Collaborate with healthcare team and participate in patient care conferences.
