Job summary

Mercy Health in Kings Mills is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to diagnose and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across all ages. This PRN Day Shift position focuses on comprehensive evaluations, treatment planning, and family education.

Responsibilities include patient evaluations, discharge planning, tailored therapy, and collaboration with the healthcare team. Required licensure and CCC-SLP are preferred; BLS as applicable.

Qualifications

• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in current practice state.
• CCC-SLP preferred at hire; required within one year.
• BLS certification may be required at hire or within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Assess referrals and patient conditions to determine therapy needs.
• Perform evaluations and discharge planning based on assessments.
• Administer SLP treatments tailored to patient needs.
• Design programs for language, articulation, swallowing, and cognition.
• Educate families on home therapy and continuation.
• Collaborate with healthcare team and participate in care conferences.
