Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati seeks a Speech Language Pathologist for the West Hospital to diagnose and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders across all ages. You will conduct evaluations, design treatment plans and deliver therapy using varied techniques, educate families, and collaborate with the care team to optimize outcomes in a PRN capacity.

Qualifications

• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in current practice state.
• CCC-SLP preferred at hire, required within one year.
• BLS is preferred at hire for some sites.

Responsibilities

• Assess referrals and patient histories to determine therapy needs.
• Perform evaluations, re-evaluations, and discharge planning.
• Administer speech language pathology treatments tailored to patients.
• Design rehab programs for language, voice, swallow, and cognition.
• Educate patients' families on home exercises.
• Collaborate with healthcare team and participate in care conferences.
