Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) PRN to join our team in Chattanooga, TN. The role covers comprehensive evaluations, plan of care and education, with emphasis on swallowing, speech and cognitive-communication disorders.

Responsibilities include performing video fluoroscopic swallow studies, developing treatment plans, and timely communication of results to the care team. Requires Tennessee SLP license and BLS within 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills to interact with patients, staff and physicians.
• Current SLP license in state of Tennessee.
• AHA BLS certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of cognitive-communication, swallowing, voice, speech, hearing, and language.
• Manage all aspects of patient care including evaluation, plan of care, treatments, education, and documentation.
• Complete video fluoroscopic swallow studies per policy and procedure.
• Develop and implement treatment programs in consultation with physicians.
• Communicate results to the healthcare team and educate patient/family.
