Job summary

Select Medical Rehabilitation - Palm Beach in Lake Worth, FL is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a PRN/per-diem role. You will perform comprehensive evaluations of communication and swallowing, provide goal-oriented treatment, and collaborate with the Rehab Therapy team to ensure high-quality patient care.

The position requires current SLP licensure in Florida and BLS certification (or completion within 90 days). A CCC in Speech-Language Pathology from ASHA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• BLS certification or completion in first 90 days of employment.
• CCC in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Take initiative and responsibility daily, understanding the needs of patients across physical, mental, psychological, and social aspects.
• Assess communication skills and swallowing function; provide goal-oriented treatment to maximize communication and swallowing potential.
• Provide comprehensive evaluations of communication and/or swallowing; collaborate with staff to deliver interdisciplinary programming.
• Monitor quality of services in Rehab Therapy; participate in peer reviews and staff appraisals.
• Assist in developing SLP programs, revising policies, and maintaining supplies; share knowledge with colleagues.
