Job summary

Beach Breeze Rehab & Care in West Palm Beach, FL seeks a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team. The role focuses on improving residents’ communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities while enhancing quality of life.

The SLP will evaluate residents, develop individualized plans, provide interventions, monitor progress, and collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other therapists. Licensure in Florida and CCC/ASHA credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Florida Speech Language Pathologist license or eligibility for Florida licensure.
• ASHA certification preferred.
• CCC or eligibility to obtain CCC.
• Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic interventions based on each resident’s needs, abilities, and goals.
• Monitor resident progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Recommend appropriate adaptive communication devices and provide training as needed.
• Collaborate with nursing, rehabilitation, medical, and other interdisciplinary team members to coordinate resident care.
• Participate in care plan meetings and contribute to individualized resident care planning.
• Provide guidance and supervision to supportive therapy staff, as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, caregivers, and members of the healthcare team.
