Labcorp is seeking a dedicated Specimen Processing Technician to join the Overland Park team. The role involves preparing specimens for analysis, labeling, and routing to staging areas, with emphasis on accuracy and timely data entry.

This PRN, 3rd shift position supports the lab's daily goals and requires a High School Diploma or GED, plus some lab/processing experience. Teamwork and attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a lab or specimen processing preferred.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens and data entry with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to staging areas.
• Identify and label specimens accurately.
• Pack and ship specimens to testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Prepare and store excess specimen samples properly.
• Enter patient information into systems accurately and timely.
• Resolve and document problem specimens.
