Job summary

Labcorp in Overland Park, KS is seeking a dedicated candidate to join the Specimen Processing and Accessioning team for a PRN 3rd shift role. The position involves preparing, labeling, and routing specimens, as well as packing and shipping to testing facilities.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, comfort with handling biological specimens, and strong data entry skills. Prior Labcorp experience and 6+ months in a lab are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Labcorp experience preferred.
• 6+ months in a lab or specimen processing helpful.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Strong data entry and organizational skills.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Team-oriented with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to their staging areas.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.
