Job summary

Memorial East Shiloh Breast Center, part of BJC HealthCare, is seeking a PRN Breast Sonographer (RDMS) to perform ultrasound imaging for breast studies and related procedures. RDMS or equivalent is required, with breast imaging certification; training to achieve Breast Boards will be provided.

Work is Mon-Fri with no weekends or call, and non-benefits eligibility applies. Responsibilities include ensuring equipment readiness, conducting examinations, and documenting findings.

Qualifications

• RDMS certification or equivalent is required.
• Registered in Breast imaging; training for Breast Boards provided.
• Experience in breast imaging is preferred.
• Associate degree or trade school in diagnostic sonography or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Position Details:

• Day Shift hours: Mon-Fri (7am/7:30am to 4pm/4:30pm) – Work 16 hours within two week period needed
• NO WEEKENDS OR CALL!!!
• Non Benefits Eligible
• RDMS or equivalent required
• Registered Sonography
• Registered in Breast plus but not required as we will train to take Breast Boards

Memorial Hospital Belleville is an acute care hospital offering medical and surgical services plus critical and emergency care including Children’s at Memorial for pediatric emergency care. Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

The Registered Diagnostic Sonographer performs ultrasound imaging, including but not limited to abdominal, small parts, and obstetrical, to adult and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders, and assist with needle procedures (i.e., biopsies, drainages, needle placements, etc.). May also perform vascular imaging

Responsibilities

• Ensures proper function and readiness of all equipment.
• Performs ultrasound imaging examinations and ensures proper documentation of procedures.
• Performs studies independently, may perform studies on-call, portable exams, and at other sites as required by work area.
