Job description

Gateway Rehab (GRC) in Braddock, PA is hiring security PRN Monitors to help maintain a safe, supportive, and structured environment for our residence. Afternoon and overnight shifts are now available with a competitive shift differential — perfect for those looking to make an impact while earning more for your time.

Availability

• PRNs must be available for all shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient movement, maintain detailed logs, and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures.
• Serve as the first point of contact for new patients, conduct intakes and orientations.
• Administer drug screenings and oversee medication dispensing.
• Conduct random room checks and transport residents as needed.
• Defuse tense situations, handle disputes calmly and effectively.
• Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain a professional demeanor.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School diploma or GED.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail while monitoring resident behavior, facility movement, and identifying potential risks.
• Ability to defuse tense situations and handle disputes calmly.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Requirements

• Pass a Department of Corrections Clean Background Check.
• Pass Drug Screen – Company paid.
• Get a 2-Step PDD/TB Test – Company paid when possible.
• Have a valid driver’s license with a favorable driving record.
• Obtain CPR certification shortly after starting.
• Be able to remain awake and alert while on duty.
• Stand, walk or patrol for extended periods; may involve lifting as needed.
• Provide mandatory staffing coverage when necessary to ensure a safe treatment environment for Gateway patients.
