Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for the Surgical Short Stay unit. This part-time role requires collaboration with the healthcare team to assess, plan, and treat patients and families, with emphasis on documentation, patient advocacy, and safe medication administration.

Responsibilities include performing comprehensive assessments, educating patients and families, and developing and evaluating care plans.

Qualifications

• A current RN license is required.
• Multistate licenses must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days from hire.
• At hire, Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
• ACLS within 6 months, PALS within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care in collaboration with the health care team.
• Maintains accurate documentation of nursing services and serves as a patient advocate.
• Performs and documents comprehensive assessments and plans of care.
• Administers medications and educates patients and families.
