Job summary

Saint Alphonsus in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Part Time RN for our Surgical Short Stay unit. The role involves 2 night shifts, 1900-0730, providing professional nursing care and collaborating with the healthcare team to assess, plan and treat patients and families.

You will educate patients and families, develop and evaluate care plans, and document care extensively while administering medications and ensuring safety and advocacy. ACLS/PALS timelines apply as noted.

Qualifications

• A current RN license is required.
• Multistate licenses must establish Idaho residency within 60 days from hire.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS.
• ACLS within 6 months, PALS within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care in collaboration with the health care team.
• Educates patient and family based on assessed needs.
• Develops, implements and evaluates a plan of care.
• Communicates patient status and plan to caregivers in writing and verbally.
• Administers medications and uses patient care equipment safely.
