Job summary

Mercy is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) in a Specialty role for a PRN position in Missouri. You will provide patient-centered nursing care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and advocate for patients and families while maintaining safety and quality outcomes.

As an RN Specialty, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, document findings, and participate in continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Home Infusion nurses require a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to assigned patients with accountability.
• Coordinate patient care plans with physicians, therapists, and the care team.
• Involve patients and families in care decisions and education.
• Assess and update care plans to support recovery goals.
• Perform safe handoffs using SBAR and bedside reporting.
• Monitor clinical findings, labs, and diagnostics; document in EMR.
• Delegate and supervise patient care activities per scope of practice.
• Participate in quality improvement and department meetings.
• Advocate for patients while protecting privacy and rights.
