Job summary

Cardinal Health seeks a flexible Registered Nurse (RN) to join our small Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) in Fairbanks, AK on a PRN basis. Surgeries occur Wednesdays; no guaranteed hours. Shifts vary from a few hours to 12 hours, with strong preference for Wednesday coverage.

Qualifications include Alaska RN license, CPR/BLS, ACLS, and 2–4 years of perioperative experience. The center operates with two urologists and anesthesia staff in a facilities-based setting.

Qualifications

• Active Alaska RN license required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identifies patient care requirements and establishes rapport with patients and staff.
• Provides compassionate emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.
• Educates patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
