Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. is seeking a flexible Registered Nurse (RN) to join an ambulatory surgery center in Fairbanks, AK on a PRN basis. The role supports perioperative care for outpatient urologic procedures, collaborating with two urologists, anesthesia, and nursing staff.

Shifts are mostly Wednesdays and may vary in length. Strong preference for Wednesday availability; no guaranteed hours. EPA: early start times, potential short shifts to 12 hours, with flexible scheduling depending on the

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience preferred.
• Active Alaska RN license in good standing.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Ability to work Wednesdays is highly preferred.
• Previous perioperative, ambulatory surgery, PACU, or OR nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identifies patient care requirements by establishing rapport with patients and staff.
• Provides emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends.
• Educates patients and families on condition, medications, and self-care skills.
