Job summary

OMS Consulting seeks PRN nurses to provide patient care around dental extractions at clinics nationwide.

Nurses must start IVs and monitor patients under moderate sedation, with multi-state/compact licenses allowed for work outside Texas. Austin shifts occur twice monthly, with other Texas locations available. Travel expenses are covered and nurses operate as 1099 contractors.

Qualifications

• RN license with multi-state/compact eligibility required.
• Experience in ER or perioperative care is a plus.
• Proficient in starting IVs and monitoring patients under moderate sedation.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care before, during, and after procedures.
• Support multiple clinics in Texas and other states as needed.
• Assist with peri-procedural monitoring and recovery.

Job description

OMS Consulting is a traveling oral surgery company, and we perform extractions (usually wisdom teeth) in dental clinics across the United States. We are growing and are hiring PRN nurses to provide patient care before, during, and after their procedure. Nurses will need to be proficient in starting IVs and monitoring patient under moderate sedation.

Nurses can pick up in multiple locations if desired, but a multi-state or compact license is required for working outside of Texas. Shifts in Austin are typically on Friday twice a month. Alternate locations in Texas are Houston, Nacogdoches, Texarkana, and San Antonio. We cover travel expenses for nurses, including travel time. Nurses are required to work one shift per month, but are welcome to work more shifts if available.

Pay is $45/hour plus travel expenses if applicable. Training nurses are paid $30/hr until signed off from training (usually one shift). Nurses are employed as 1099 contractors.

Nursing experience in any of the following areas are a plus: ER, Pre/Post Op, Surgery.
