The Alden Network in Chicago is seeking Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses for select shifts with pay starting at $44/hour for RN and $40/hour for LPN. The role involves direct patient care and supervising nursing assistants, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and facility policies.

Qualifications include an active RN/LPN license in Illinois or Wisconsin, CPR certification within two weeks, and strong communication and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a RN or LPN in Illinois and/or Wisconsin.
• Must possess current CPR certificate or become certified within two weeks of employment.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
• Interest and/or knowledge in care of the aged.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
• Ability to deal tactfully with customers, family members, visitors, and staff.
• Leadership and supervisory ability; cooperative work with others.
• Personable, enthusiastic, and resourceful.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to customers.
• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.
• Ensure care aligns with Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in care planning and conferences.
• Maintain accurate nursing records and participate in charting and documentation policies.
• Place orders for medications and treatments as ordered, following budget guidelines.
• Ensure nurses’ notes and monthly summaries reflect the care plan and patient response.
• Complete required assessments upon admission, transfer, or discharge.
