Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) seeks a PRN RN for Lancaster County Detention Center. This 8-hour-per-week role provides essential nursing care in a secure correctional setting under the nursing process.

The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care, leads a care team, and collaborates with multidisciplinary staff to meet medical, emotional, and safety needs while upholding PREA and facility policies.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in SC or a compact state.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Minimum one year of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care using assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Directs and leads other team members within a correctional setting.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to provide age-appropriate care.
• Delivers patient-centered care while following security and PREA requirements.
• Documents care in medical records per facility policies.
