Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Registered Nurse Trainer to provide face-to-face home training for Acelis Connected Health’s PT/INR products. The per-diem trainer will travel to patient homes within a defined geographic area and deliver hands-on instruction on device use and reporting options.

Responsibilities include documenting training records, communicating securely, and demonstrating professionalism. A current RN license and some health-education experience are required; travel will be substantial.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license.
• Direct experience/exposure to anticoagulation management or homecare is preferred.
• Health education training experience a definite plus.
• No lifting over 15 pounds required without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customers' homes within the general geographic location of the trainer.
• Demonstrate and instruct patients/caregivers on the proper use and care of PT/INR equipment.
• Explain test reporting options.
• Accurately document and submit patient training records electronically.
• Maintain communications with the company by cell phone, email and internet access.
