Job summary

Grandview Endoscopy Surgery Center in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care across endoscopy and surgical procedures. The RN will coordinate care using established protocols, collaborate with physicians, and ensure safety and quality in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires strong assessment, medication administration, and emergency response skills, with responsibilities spanning pre, intra, and post-procedural care and patient education.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current RN license in the state.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to develop and adjust care plans.
• Respond to emergencies, perform CPR, and participate in code team activities.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain infection control standards and ensure room/ equipment are prepared and sterile.
