Job summary
Devereux is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to support adolescents in a Psychiatric Residential Treatment setting in West Chester, PA. The role emphasizes compassionate care, safety, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to help youths with behavioral health and developmental needs.
The position offers flexible scheduling with a requirement of 4 shifts per month plus a Summer and Winter Holiday shift.
Qualifications
- EDUCATION: Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing with a B.S.N., Diploma or A.D. Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in Pennsylvania.
- EXPERIENCE: One year of post-education nursing experience preferred. Experience with individuals with cognitive/behavioral challenges or medically complex conditions. Proficient computer skills and strong organizational and communication abilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care within PRN Psychiatric Residential Treatment Programs for adolescent males and females.
- Maintain patient safety and administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Document care in the chart and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team.
- Support crisis prevention/intervention and trauma‑informed care training.
- Assist with crisis situations and participate in program activities as scheduled.
