Job summary

Salinas Valley Post Acute is seeking a dedicated RN for a part-time PRN/on-call role in Salinas, CA. You will deliver patient-centered nursing care in post-acute settings and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

Open availability across weekdays and weekends for days/evenings/nights is required. CA RN license and BLS/CPR required; prior post-acute or long-term care experience preferred but not required. Competitive hourly pay and supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in California.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Open availability across the week, including days, evenings and weekends.
• Post-acute, skilled nursing, or long-term care experience preferred but not required.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing floor assignments and patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to residents in a post-acute and rehabilitation setting.
• Assess health problems, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain records.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide wound care or other treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize recovery.
• Supervise LVNs and CNAs on shift.
• Respond to on-call requests and fill shift vacancies to ensure safe staffing.
