Job summary

Salinas Valley Post Acute in Salinas, CA is seeking a compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse for a part-time PM shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM). Provide direct nursing care, administer medications, and support residents’ daily health needs on a flexible weekday and weekend schedule.

Under supervision of the RN, you will document in the EMR, monitor vital signs, and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges. CA LVN license and BLS/CPR required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in California is required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Availability to work various days including weekends.
• Experience in long-term care or sub-acute settings preferred, new grads welcome.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per care plans and orders.
• Monitor and report changes in resident conditions and vital signs.
• Provide direct resident care, ensuring comfort, safety, and hygiene.
• Assist with resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) per standards.
