Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing.
• Certified in Basic Life Support.
• Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate nursing care according to scope of practice and patient age.
• Coordinates nursing care planning with interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with healthcare team to achieve positive patient outcomes; adheres to standards of care.
• Coordinates discharge and transfer plans.
• Participates in program evaluation and process improvement; maintains regulatory compliance.
• Promotes patient experience through service standards; supports resource management and quality of care.
• May serve as preceptor or mentor to less experienced staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
