Job summary

Marymount Hospital, part of the Cleveland Clinic system, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department team on a PRN basis. You will provide direct nursing care, monitor patient conditions, and implement care plans in a supportive, patient-centered environment.

Ideal candidates will have RN licensure, BLS, and the ability to educate patients and families, with a focus on compassionate care and collaboration with caregivers across teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current state RN licensure.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred or to be obtained within stated time.
• Two years of related nursing experience encouraged; internal candidates may be reviewed case-by-case.

Marymount Hospital's Emergency Department provides 24/7 emergency services, ranging from minor injuries to critical and resuscitative care, for patients of all ages. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Successfully pass all prescreen competency assessments
• External applicants must have two years recent related nursing experience.
• Internal applicants with less than two years’ experience but post orientation /90 day probationary period could be considered with Chief Nursing Officer level review and approval.
• Will consider military RN experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross upon hire or within one year of employment

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
• Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
• Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $43.00

Maximum hourly: $43.00
