Job summary

Encore at Parkside in Newark, Delaware,is seeking a compassionate PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct nursing care to residents per physician orders and care plans. The RN will monitor residents, administer medications, and document accurately to support resident safety and clinical excellence.

The role requires supervising LPNs/CNAs, ensuring infection control and regulatory compliance, and participating in care planning and interdisciplinary meetings.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in Delaware
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
• Ability to supervise staff and work collaboratively with healthcare team
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents per physician orders and care plans
• Assess residents' physical, psychosocial, and functional status and document appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and report to physician/nursing leadership
• Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs on assigned unit or shift
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
• Participate in care planning, shift reports, and interdisciplinary meetings
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid or CPR as needed
• Accurately complete medical records, MARs, TARs, and incident reports
• Educate residents and families regarding care, treatments, and health conditions
• Adhere to attendance, scheduling, and block schedule commitments
