LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, VA is seeking an experienced Central Resource Pool Registered Nurse to ensure exceptional patient care across shifts and teams. You will collaborate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care for our patients.

The role emphasizes strong clinical judgment, adherence to confidentiality policies, and accurate documentation in a fast-paced hospital setting. PRN opportunities support a flexible schedule and quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program (required)
• BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred)
• Current licensure as an RN in the state of Virginia or current multi-state compact RN license with eligibility to practice in VA is required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required).

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care to positively affect patient outcomes.
• Follow policies including confidentiality (written, verbal, electronic and digital).
• Report critical information or change in condition of patients.
• Provide comfort and prevent suffering through presence and attentiveness including pain assessment and reassessment.
• Document effectively, succinctly, and timely according to organizational policy.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to coordinate care.
