Job summary

Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to coordinate and oversee patients' home care and collaborate with care teams to develop individualized plans.

You will assess patients, provide skilled nursing, educate families, document timely, and report progress to the clinical manager, physician, and care team. The role offers diverse visits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current RN license specific to the state(s) you are assigned to work.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and liability insurance.
• 1+ year of clinical RN experience.
• RN internship program if under 6 months RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and oversees all aspects of patients' home care.
• Collaborates with patient care teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Educates families on patient condition, needs and care.
• Performs head to toe physical assessments.
• Checks vital signs and manages medications.
• Gives injections, IV therapy or tube feedings.
• Administers and maintains catheters.
• Completes documentation timely and accurately.
• Supervises LPNs and HHAs.
• Regularly communicates patient progress to the clinical manager, physician and care team.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills

1+ years of clinical RN experience

Valid driver's license
