Zusammenfassung

Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to coordinate and oversee patients' home care. You will collaborate with care teams to create and implement individualized plans, assess patients, provide skilled nursing, educate families, and document progress for the clinical manager and physicians.

In this role you will supervise LPNs and HHAs, perform head-to-toe assessments, manage medications, and ensure timely charting.

Qualifikationen

• Current RN license valid in the state(s) you work
• Current CPR certification
• Minimum 1 year of clinical RN experience; supervisor review if less

Aufgaben

• Coordinates and oversees all aspects of patients' home care
• Collaborates with patient care teams to develop and implement care plans
• Educates families on patient condition, needs and care
• Performs head to toe physical assessments
• Checks vital signs and manages medications
• Gives injections, IV therapy or tube feedings
• Administers and maintains catheters
• Completes documentation timely and accurately
• Supervises LPNs and HHAs
• Regularly communicates patient progress to the clinical manager, physician and care team
• Other duties as assigned
