Job summary

Qualifications

• Illinois RN or LPN license required.
• Adequate written documentation within prescribed timeframes.
• Computer proficiency required.
• Ability to document in electronic health records within required timeframes.
• Ability to present/coordinate lectures for clients, staff or community.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Work hours prescribed; overtime may be required.
• Manage individual nursing practice and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Advocate for client health, safety and rights.
• Assume nursing case management for designated clients.
• Coordinate all nursing activities for assigned clients.
• Follow Rosecrance Medication Management Plan and educate on meds.
• Educate on medical topics for clients, family, staff, and public as needed.
• Build relationships with colleagues and outside providers.
• Assess clients’ physical and medical needs.
• Respond to medical or emotional crises.
• Document to maintain client records per regulations and policy.
• Follow physician orders and coordinate with the client’s physician.
• Participate in Infection Control activities and stay current on techniques.
• Demonstrate competent use of medical equipment and maintain professional relationships.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities.
• Maintain annual CPR certification.
• Be an active member of the Nursing team and attend meetings.
