Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System’s Beachwood Family Health and Surgery Center is seeking a PRN RN for the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) as an OR Circulator. This role supports surgical services, collaborates with a compassionate team, and provides education to patients and families in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

The position emphasizes nursing excellence, clinical proficiency in perioperative care, and adherence to safety and professional standards within the Cleveland Clinic system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• One year of perioperative or critical care RN experience OR three years of Surgical Technician experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required/within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical nursing in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC).
• Assess patient care needs, plan delivery of care and process patients through the ASC.
• Direct other caregivers in providing patient care.
• Assume charge responsibilities, resolve problems and report variances.
• Develop educational materials and provide health education to patients and families.
• Maintain nursing competencies.
• Participate in preparing staff development programs.
• Identify self-learning needs, establish goals and evaluate attainment of goals.
• Demonstrate respect for cultural and social differences.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Contribute to a positive workplace atmosphere.
