Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic Mansfield Cancer Center is seeking an experienced RN for a PRN ambulatory care role. You will interact with patients and families, provide professional nursing care, and support physicians across clinics and procedures in the region.

Responsibilities include nursing assessments, telephone triage, administering medications, initiating CPR when needed, and educating patients. Travel within the region to support clinics is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• One year of recent RN/LPN or clinical healthcare experience in ambulatory setting with Cleveland Clinic.
• Cancer-specific certification or ongoing qualifying education.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
• Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage and establish care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
• Notify the physician and/or LIP of abnormal findings.
• Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures and patient care equipment.
• Develop, evaluate and document health education for patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles within the department.
• Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.
