Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic in Mansfield, OH is seeking an experienced RN in the Hematology/Oncology ambulatory setting to provide patient-centered nursing care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

You will assess health status, conduct nursing assessments, perform telephone triage, administer medications, initiate CPR, and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Travel within the region may be required to support clinics and procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• One year of recent RN/LPN or related clinical experience.

About This Role

As an RN in the Hematology/Oncology department at Cleveland Clinic, you will provide exceptional patient care in an ambulatory setting, working closely with a team of healthcare professionals. • Schedule: Per Diem, Day shift

What You'll Do

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.


• Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage and establish care plans.


• Administer medications and treatments.


• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.


• Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.


• Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures and specialized patient care equipment.


• Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.


• Cover other nursing roles within the department.


• Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.

Requirements

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing


• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Experience:

• One year of recent experience as an RN OR LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)


• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross


• Cancer-specific certification or demonstrated ongoing qualifying education
