HSHS Medical Group is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a PRN position at St Mary's Hospital in Decatur, IL. The role involves providing physician prescribed respiratory care, operating related equipment, and documenting care in the EMR in accordance with HIPAA and quality standards.

Minimum requirements include a Diploma or Associate's degree in respiratory therapy, NBRC-registered as RRT, and state licensure eligibility with licensure within 6 months. BLS is required; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate's degree in respiratory therapy is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy is preferred.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC is required.
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner or eligibility for licensure in the state is required, license within 6 months.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs physician prescribed respiratory care procedures and operates respiratory equipment.
• Documents care in the patient EMR according to policies and HIPAA.
• Works in Respiratory Therapy and Sleep Lab, PRN schedule.

Education

Diploma or an Associate's degree in respiratory therapy from an Accredited Respiratory Care Education Program

Bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy from an Accredited Respiratory Care Education Program is preferred
