Job summary

Select Medical in Miami, FL seeks a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for PRN/Per Diem 12-hour day shifts. Compensation is $43 per hour with a $6,250 sign-on bonus and shift differentials for night/weekend shifts.

The RT will provide inpatient post-ICU respiratory care to critically ill patients and contribute to a compassionate, world-class clinical team. Minimum requirements include Active CRT or RRT from NBRC or state equivalent, BLS, current state licensure, and ACLS on hire.

Qualifications

• Must possess Active CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent.
• BLS certification required by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performs insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
