Job summary

Select Medical in Oxford, Florida seeks a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for per diem/night shifts. The role includes evaluating patients, delivering respiratory care, and assisting with airway management and education. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available; shifts are 12-hour with $40.00/hour compensation.

Requirements include NBRC-CRTR credential (or state equivalent), current state licensure, BLS, and ACLS by hire. Previous experience is preferred but not required for all cases.

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• BLS certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
