Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Augusta is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for per diem/PRN coverage in Augusta, GA. Work days from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Per diem schedule supports flexible staffing with a competitive $37.00 per hour compensation.

RTs will assess and treat patients with critical and complex conditions, participate in endotracheal tube management, and contribute to overall quality of care alongside a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT NBRC credential or state equivalent.
• BLS certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills

Active NBRC credential (CRT/RRT)

BLS certification

Current state licensure

ACLS upon hire

Education

High school diploma or GED

College transcript/diploma preferred
