Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Augusta is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for PRN/per diem night shifts (7 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.). The role offers an hourly compensation of $37.00 and a flexible schedule to support patient recovery in a high-acuity setting.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, delivering respiratory care for critical conditions, managing airway devices, and contributing to quality improvement. Active NBRC credentials, BLS, and state licensure are required; ACLS on hire.

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation with transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• BLS certification by start date.
• Current state licensure required.
• ACLS required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
