Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Savannah is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for PRN/Per Diem in Savannah, Georgia. The role supports critical illness recovery patients with flexible day and night shifts.

As part of a team, you will evaluate patients, provide respiratory care, assist with endotracheal tube insertion/removal, and participate in quality improvement, patient/family teaching, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience preferred.
• ACLS upon hire is required for the agency RT on first shift.
• BLS certification required by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
