Qualifications

• Graduate of a two (2) year Respiratory Care Accrediting Board approved school.
• NBRC-RRT certification.
• RRT/RCP-State licensure or credential.
• Lab/Supervisor credentials (LabSup) or Blood Gas Technologist (BGT).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
• Neonate Resuscitation must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• High School Graduate or GED.
• Clinical experience in an acute care facility or freestanding clinic preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assessing respiratory status by performing focused exams and interpreting findings.
• Delivering oxygen therapy, aerosolized meds, airway clearance and other treatments.
• Managing ventilation and airway interventions, both invasive and noninvasive.
• Educating patients and families and supporting the care team.
• Maintaining equipment, ensuring infection prevention, and safe transport of ventilated patients.
