Bluffton-Regional-Medical-Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for PRN shifts to provide advanced respiratory care in collaboration with the care team. You will administer treatments, monitor patient responses, and document findings in the EMR according to physician orders.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of respiratory experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist required.
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required and
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required and
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation if NICU department required and
• STABLE - Neonatal Certification if NICU department required

Responsibilities

• Administers advanced respiratory treatments, performs assessments, and monitors patient responses.
• Orients patient to treatment modality to ensure cooperation.
• Performs and documents ABG punctures accurately and reports results.
• Assists physicians with bedside procedures as assigned.
• Performs pulmonary testing procedures as assigned.
• Follows respiratory protocols and safety guidelines.
• Communicates effectively with peers, staff, physicians and leadership.
• Maintains respiratory therapy equipment and ensures proper functioning and safety.
• Implements physician orders accurately and documents treatments.
• Ensures proper PPE use and patient identification for safety and infection control.
• Manages ventilator settings and airway maintenance.
• Demonstrates clinical judgment in emergencies and collaborates to stabilize patients.
• Applies age-specific oxygen therapy considerations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Complies with policies and standards.
