Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Certification: NBRC-RRT, Respiratory Care Professional (RCP), BLS, and ACLS required at hire.
• 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills.
• Ability to establish effective relationships with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered respiratory care, including aerosolized medications, bronchial hygiene, and oxygen therapy.
• Manage ventilators, conduct weaning, and interpret waveform graphics.
• Perform airway management procedures such as intubation and tracheostomy care.
• Assess patients, collaborate with healthcare team members, and educate patients, families, and staff.
• Participate in invasive and non-invasive procedures, pulmonary diagnostics, and cardiac service procedures.
• Promote safety, compliance with policies, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and precept new employees, students, and peers.
