Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency in Austell, GA is seeking a Respiratory Therapist II to provide advanced respiratory care in complex patient situations, including ventilator management, airway management, arterial blood gas sampling, and diagnostic testing.

You will work with the healthcare team to assess patients, plan therapy, educate patients and staff, document care, and participate in quality improvement initiatives, while ensuring safety and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred).
• NBRC-RRT, Respiratory Care Professional, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
• 0-2 years clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, assessment, and computer skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care through assessments, therapy planning, and collaboration with healthcare team members
• Administer aerosolized medications, manage ventilators, and perform invasive/non-invasive procedures
• Educate patients, families, and new staff, fostering a supportive environment
• Ensure safety and compliance with policies, promote evidence-based practices, and participate in performance improvement
• Maintain accurate documentation and electronic orders

They perform procedures such as ventilator management, airway management, arterial blood gas sampling, and pulmonary diagnostic testing. The role involves independent decision-making, patient assessment, education for patients and staff, and participation in quality improvement initiatives.
