Job Description

Responsible for maintaining a secure environment for all residents and associates within the building and on the community grounds. Greet visitors, monitor the inside and outside of the building, and respond to emergencies.

Requirements

• Greet and monitor visitors and residents coming and going from the building. Log all residents and visitors in and out.
• Monitor the inside and outside of the building and the parking lot; report any abnormal findings to the Executive Director or proper authorities as the situation dictates.
• Lock doors at designated times according to community protocol. Check the security of all doors regularly throughout the night.
• Maintain familiarity with and monitor all emergency and safety equipment including security cameras, phones, and life safety systems.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies by contacting appropriate internal and external parties, according to established protocol. Assist with disaster management efforts and activities during evacuations (fires, hurricanes, etc.).
• Answer the phone promptly. Respond to questions, direct calls, or take messages as appropriate.
• Escort residents and visitors to the parking lot during evening hours, as requested.
