The Role You’ll Contribute

The Security Officer II provides security services through professional and positive interactions with the public, patients, staff, and administrators. Responsibilities include responding to calls, assisting in emergencies, investigating and documenting safety hazards, incidents, and criminal activities, patrolling designated areas, and ensuring the safety of people and property. The role requires initiative, judgment, and competence, along with active participation in customer service and respectful relationship management. Completion of physical and physiological fitness screenings is mandatory.

• Proactively patrols assigned areas, maintains life safety standards, investigates suspicious activity, reports hazards, and responds to vulnerabilities including life-threatening events and natural disasters.
• Participates in activities beyond security operations, such as transporting and releasing bodies, patient escort, safety checks, and event setups.
• Responds appropriately to emergency, non-emergency, and alarm calls, using good judgment to assess and act accordingly.
• Provides initial first aid as trained.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License and an applicable state license, with a good driving record
• Certification as a Security Officer Basic Training through IAHSS or equivalent
