Job Description

Responsible for maintaining a secure environment for all residents and associates within the building and on community grounds. Greet visitors, monitor the inside and outside of the building, and respond to emergencies.

Requirements

Duties include but are not limited to:

1. Greet and monitor visitors and residents coming and going from the building. Log all residents and visitors in and out.
2. Monitor the inside and outside of the building and parking lot; report any abnormal findings to the Executive Director or proper authorities as needed.
3. Lock doors at designated times according to community protocol. Regularly check the security of all doors throughout the night.
4. Maintain familiarity with and monitor all emergency and safety equipment including security cameras, phones, and life safety systems.
5. Respond appropriately to emergencies by contacting internal and external parties as per protocol. Assist with disaster management and evacuation activities during emergencies such as fires or hurricanes.
6. Answer phone calls promptly, respond to questions, direct calls, or take messages as appropriate.
7. Escort residents and visitors to the parking lot during evening hours, as requested.
