Job summary

Western Home Communities is seeking a caring PRN Resident Assistant/Medication Manager to join our Assisted Living facility in Jesup, IA. You will work with a supportive team and residents in a family-like environment in our recently renovated community.

The role involves assisting residents with daily activities, personal care, and eventual medication duties upon certification, while maintaining resident rights and dignity.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older to obtain Medication Manager
• Willing to obtain Medication Manager course upon hire
• Not required: Iowa CNA license
• Flexible to work weekends and holidays
• Care experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide care to residents under supervision of the nurse and team
• Assist with daily activities and personal hygiene
• Help organize, clean, do laundry, meals, and other tasks
• Respond promptly to calls for assistance with compassionate care
• Record resident interactions and communicate with team
• Assist with medication duties upon certification and administration
• Respect and uphold resident rights
