Job summary

Senior Helpers of Dayton is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our home care team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. You will conduct nursing assessments, develop individualized care plans, supervise caregivers, and ensure compliance with professional standards, delivering patient-centered care in clients' homes.

The ideal candidate has an active RN license, home care experience, and reliable transportation. BSN is a preferred qualification, and CEUs are expected to stay current.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Home care experience required.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
• CEUs maintained per Board of Nursing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments, reassessments, and client observations.
• Complete accurate nursing documentation and care plans.
• Perform VA client reassessments every 60 days and as needed.
• Develop and update individualized care plans based on clients' needs.
• Coordinate with management to support quality care and procedures.
• Supervise, guide, and mentor nursing assistants and caregivers.
• Address client complaints regarding caregivers promptly and professionally.
• Protect client rights and promote safe practices in the home.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to professional nursing standards.
