Job summary

Independence Healthcare Center in Independence, KS seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The RN will provide general nursing care, perform assessments, and assist physicians in treatments while ensuring patient education and safety.

Candidate must hold a Kansas RN license and obtain BCLS/ACLS within 1 year, plus PALS/TNCC within 2 years. This is a full-time on-site ED position with hospital benefits.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Nursing or higher with RN licensure in Kansas.
• Preferably at least one year of practice in nursing and some critical care experience.
• Must obtain BCLS and ACLS within 1 year, and PALS and TNCC within 2 years.

• Summary: Provides general nursing care to patients in Emergency Department. Assists the physician by performing nursing assessments, treatments and by instructing all patients as needed.
• Education Requirements: Diploma in Nursing, Associates Degree from a two year college or Bachelors Degree from a four year college and successful completion of a prescribed curriculum of study which has led to licensure as a Registered Nurse in Kansas and gives evidence of possessing the experience of a licensed nurse on a staff level. Preferably has at least one year of successful practice in nursing and has previous critical care related nursing experience. Must obtain certification in BCLS and ACLS within 1 year, and PALS and Trauma Nursing Core Course within 2 years.
